Position Description:

Provide overall clerical assistance and secretarial support to all departmental staff for the effective operation of the Counseling/SRC/ESC office including, but not limited:
- Assist at the counter to serve Counseling/SRC/ESC students and visitors; help coordinate the process of getting students to the professional staff and services that meet their needs, by appointment, referral, telephone, walk-ins, and internet.
- Assist with the daily input for the Counseling/SRC/ESC counseling tool.
- Provide assistance in departmental projects and secretarial support using advanced word processing, desktop publishing, and database management to the Counseling/SRC/ESC staff.
- Coordinate the Counseling/SRC/ISC library resources, office supplies, and general inventory of the SRC food pantry by ordering and cycling food pantry items, preparing for health inspections, and reporting monthly student usages.
- Coordinate and assist with the weekly SRC Bus Token list
- Perform other related duties as directed by the Dean/Prof. Office Assist.

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- 1-3 years relevant office work experience.
- Demonstrated ability in word processing, spreadsheet, and excel programs.
- Demonstrated proficiency in basic math, alphabetizing, spelling, proofreading, and
- Accurate data entry skills required.
- Experience with SCT Banner 2000 software preferred.
- Ability to fluctuate with peak demands and high stress periods.
- Strong interpersonal skills to deal effectively with the various College and community publics.
- Ability to understand and explain institutional and Counseling/SRC/ISC grant policies and procedures to students and staff.
- Ability to appropriately handle confidential materials.
- Ability to maintain a positive attitude and possess the skills necessary to be a team player working toward a common vision of the Counseling/SRC/ISC departments.
